Artistic design revamps
A revamp keeps the room and changes how it feels. Walls lime-washed, one piece repainted in a colour that chips well, a carved panel brought in, the lighting fixed, the art rehung. It costs a fraction of a full redo and takes weeks, not months.
What a revamp includes
A visit and a plan of what stays. Lime wash or paint on the walls. One or two pieces restored or repainted. A carved door, panel or frame introduced where the room needs a centre. New lighting positions. Plants, art and textiles.
Revamp or redo
Revamp when the layout works and the bones are sound. Redo when the kitchen, bathrooms or wiring have to change. Our revamp or redo guide sets out how to decide.
Time and cost
Most revamps take four to eight weeks on site and cost well under a full fit-out because the floors, kitchen and bathrooms stay.
Questions people ask
What is an artistic design revamp?
A makeover of an existing room using paint, lime wash, restored furniture, lighting and decor rather than demolition. The room keeps its layout and services and changes its character.
Can we live in the home during a revamp?
Usually yes. Work is done room by room and the dusty stages are short.
Is lime wash practical in Indian humidity?
Yes. Lime wash breathes, which suits humid cities, and it is easy to refresh. We use it on most walls and seal it where hands touch.
How much does a revamp cost?
It depends on the room and on how much furniture is restored versus made new. We quote after a site visit, with the design fee shown separately.
Do you revamp rented homes?
Yes, with reversible changes: paint, freestanding pieces, lighting and decor.
