Furniture that fits the room it was drawn for. Consoles, beds, dining tables, cabinets and wardrobes made to our drawings by carpenters we have worked with for years, and antique doors and panels turned into headboards, consoles and mirrors.
What we make
Whitewashed carved consoles from old panels. Headboards from antique doors. Mosaic-topped tables. Cane and teak seating. Cabinets painted in one distressed colour. Wardrobes and storage walls planned for the home, not bought from a range.
Antique doors and panels
We buy carved teak doors, jharokha frames and old cabinets from salvage yards and dealers across India, strip and repair them, and repaint them in chalky colours that show the wood underneath. A piece with a hundred years in it becomes the centre of the room. Read our guide to antique doors and carved panels.
How it works
Measured drawings and a sample finish first. Making takes four to ten weeks depending on the piece. Delivery and installation by the studio.
Questions people ask
Can you make furniture for a room you did not design?
Yes. Send photographs and measurements and we will draw for the room as it is.
Do you restore pieces I already own?
Yes. Restoration and repainting of your own doors, panels and cabinets is a large part of the work.
What wood do you use?
Reclaimed teak wherever possible, new teak or hardwood where the piece needs it, and cane for seating.
How long does a custom piece take?
Four to ten weeks from approved drawing to delivery.
Do you deliver outside Mumbai and Delhi?
Yes, across India by arrangement.
